Ingredients
Scale
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 cups beef broth
1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
12 oz egg noodles
Instructions
In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir well. Gradually add beef broth, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Return the beef to the skillet, add Worcestershire sauce, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Lower heat and stir in sour cream. Cook until heated through, but do not boil.
Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with the stroganoff mixture.
Serve warm and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
Notes
Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter option.
For extra flavor, add a dash of smoked paprika or a splash of white wine.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
