Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Ground pork
  • Onion, finely chopped
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Egg
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Ground allspice
  • Butter
  • All-purpose flour
  • Beef broth
  • Heavy cream
  • Soy sauce
  • Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, pork, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, pepper, and allspice. Form into small meatballs.
  • Heat butter in a skillet and brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, whisk flour into the remaining butter to make a roux.
  • Gradually add beef broth and whisk until smooth. Stir in heavy cream, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard.
  • Simmer until the sauce thickens, then return meatballs to the skillet. Cook for 10 minutes until cooked through.
  • Serve hot with mashed potatoes or noodles.
