Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  • Gradually mix in the flour mixture, alternating with milk, until fully combined.

  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared pans, then add spoonfuls of strawberry puree and swirl with a knife.
  • Top with remaining batter and swirl again.
