This Oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookie recipe is a decadent dessert that combines the classic flavors of chocolate chip cookies with a surprise Oreo center. Perfectly gooey, soft, and bursting with chocolate, these cookies are a crowd-pleaser and ideal for parties or indulgent treats at home. Easy to make with a few simple ingredients, they bring a unique twist to the classic chocolate chip cookie.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 24 Oreo cookies

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Take a scoop of cookie dough, flatten it slightly, and place an Oreo in the center. Cover the Oreo with another scoop of dough, sealing the edges to fully enclose the Oreo.
  • Place on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is softened, not melted, for the best texture.
  • These cookies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze the cookie dough with the Oreo center for a more uniform shape when baking.
