  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • On a piece of parchment paper, flatten the meat mixture into a rectangle.
  • Spread shredded mozzarella cheese in the center, leaving a 1-inch border.
  • Roll the meat into a loaf, sealing the edges. Transfer to a baking dish.
  • Brush ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
