1 ½ lbs ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 small onion, finely diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup ketchup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
On a piece of parchment paper, flatten the meat mixture into a rectangle.
Spread shredded mozzarella cheese in the center, leaving a 1-inch border.
Roll the meat into a loaf, sealing the edges. Transfer to a baking dish.
Brush ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until cooked through.
Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Use freshly shredded mozzarella for the best melt.
