  • 8 oz noodles (spaghetti or lo mein)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, red pepper flakes (if using), cornstarch, and water.
  • Pour the sauce into the skillet, stirring to coat the ground beef evenly. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing to combine with the beef and sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
