This Million Dollar Lasagna is a decadent, cheesy, and hearty dish made with layers of rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella. A perfect baked pasta recipe for family dinners, special occasions, or meal prep.

  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce

  • 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 egg

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.

  3. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta, cream cheese, sour cream, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  5. Layer 1/3 of the meat sauce in the baking dish, followed by lasagna noodles, and half of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers.

  6. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use no-boil lasagna noodles for convenience.

  • Let lasagna sit before slicing to keep layers intact.

 

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
