Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta is a delicious combination of tender shrimp, rich garlic butter sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. Ideal for a quick dinner or date night meal, this easy recipe is packed with flavor and comes together in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add cooked pasta, reserved pasta water, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat.
  • Return shrimp to the skillet, mix well, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with Parmesan cheese, parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

  • Adjust the garlic and red pepper flakes to taste for extra flavor or spice.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best results.
