12 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add cooked pasta, reserved pasta water, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat.
Return shrimp to the skillet, mix well, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Garnish with Parmesan cheese, parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
