This creamy Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta is a spicy, flavorful dish loaded with juicy shrimp, tender chicken, and a rich, creamy sauce. Made with Cajun seasoning, garlic, Parmesan, and heavy cream, this easy pasta recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.
8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
1 tbsp olive oil
2 chicken breasts, sliced
½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with half of the Cajun seasoning, then cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add shrimp, season with remaining Cajun seasoning, and cook until pink. Remove and set aside.
Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic, and sauté for 1 minute.
Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
Add Parmesan cheese, paprika, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
Return chicken and shrimp to the skillet, add cherry tomatoes, and simmer for 2 minutes.
Toss in cooked pasta, mixing well to coat with the sauce.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for more or less spice.
Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
Add bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
