This creamy Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta is a spicy, flavorful dish loaded with juicy shrimp, tender chicken, and a rich, creamy sauce. Made with Cajun seasoning, garlic, Parmesan, and heavy cream, this easy pasta recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced

  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with half of the Cajun seasoning, then cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, add shrimp, season with remaining Cajun seasoning, and cook until pink. Remove and set aside.

  • Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic, and sauté for 1 minute.

  • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.

  • Add Parmesan cheese, paprika, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.

  • Return chicken and shrimp to the skillet, add cherry tomatoes, and simmer for 2 minutes.

  • Toss in cooked pasta, mixing well to coat with the sauce.

 

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for more or less spice.

  • Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.

  • Add bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
