  • 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup pasta water (reserved)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Lower the heat and add heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Mix in Parmesan cheese, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the skillet. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
