  • 2 ½ tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and oil. Bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and stir in flour until a smooth dough forms.
  • Let the dough cool slightly, then beat in the eggs one at a time until incorporated.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pipe small balls of dough into the hot oil using a piping bag.
  • Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar, then roll the poppers in the mixture while still warm.
  • Serve with chocolate or caramel dipping sauce if desired.

  • For extra crispiness, double-fry the poppers.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
