Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or shells)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes, marinara sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Add uncooked pasta, stir, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes until pasta is cooked and sauce thickens.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes. You can use ground turkey as a leaner alternative to ground beef.
